From Nanook (newnet.net owner):

The reason the newnet.net domain
was unreachable was that the registrar, Gandi.Net, arbitrarily decided to put the domain on clientLOCK, alledgedly for
"false" whois data, although the whois data is and was accurate.

UPDATE: The domain resolvement has been fixed and will be transfered to a different registrar.

Newnet welcomes irc.carterroadband.com to the network

We are a bit behind with this notification but wish to welcome DavMathew ADMIN of irc.carterroadband.com and his server staff to Newnet as it started its 30 trial link last week.
