Before sending this link application, make sure you've read both the requirements
and the NewNet Policy
A copy of the ircd daemon used on Newnet can be obtained through the requirements page.
You must have the ircd daemon running at time of application submission to allow for a port scan of the server.
Your application will NOT be looked at unless you have met all of the requirements listed above.
Please Note that a shell server or a server running any process other than the ircd and sshd will be
denied without a reply unless addressed with the link commitee and approved.
Periodically servers are scanned for open ports other than permitted during the link addressing.
Those servers that open ports other than permitted will be addressed and a temporary jupe applied.
If the offending server does not comply with the closing of unauthorized ports the offending server
will remain juped and/or possibly be delinked.
The requirement of all servers to run NTPD or similar type of TS process is mandatory.
Additionally: That it be a requirement for a permanent link, that a graduation from probationary
to permanent does not happen in thirty days unless said server has working
connect blocks to all the hubs, and that these connect blocks actually be
tested and confirmed working prior to ending the probationary period.
